-

-

Services we offer
The General Dentistry Clinic at UCSF’s storied Parnassus campus offers everything you expect at a top-notch dentist office—from cleanings, fillings, and dental exams to restorative dentistry and teeth whitening—at a world-class university, with experts ready to treat the most complex cases.
-
Cleanings
Routine dental cleaning—usually twice a year—includes scaling (removal of plaque, calculus, and stain from teeth) and brushing and polishing with a fluoride toothpaste.
-
Cosmetic dentistry
A beautiful smile can be just as important as a healthy one. Our cosmetic dentistry services combine advanced clinical expertise with aesthetic artistry, offering treatments from professional whitening to custom veneers.
-
Dental exams
We recommended that patients schedule twice-annual exams so we can catch and stop early signs of decay or other problems. X-rays may be included.
-
Emergency dental care
If you are experiencing pain or swelling, or have a dental infection or broken denture, you may be seen in our Student General Dentistry Clinic as an emergency patient.
-
Fillings
A filling refers to the restoring of tooth structure—lost to decay typically caused by caries or cavities—by using materials such as metal, alloy, plastic, or porcelain.
-
Restorative dentistry
Restorative dentistry focuses on repairing or replacing damaged or missing teeth to improve oral health and function.
-
Teeth whitening
Dentists offer professional whitening procedures that safely remove stains, lighten tooth color, and provide faster results than at-home products.
