Crowns

Crowns are artificial replacements for missing tooth structure, often going onto the top of a tooth after it underwent a root canal or similar procedure. They surround the remaining coronal tooth structure or are placed on a dental implant.

Crowns are typically made of metal, ceramic or polymer materials, or some combination of these. Prosthodontists typically make the crowns that protect your teeth.
